A good theoretical jumping off point but not very practical. It reads more like a very long and involved research paper but lacks in practical ideas for use in helping students become more information literate.

A great book to have on hand for the librarian in search of why, and how. It answers questions on how to tie in the standards in order to achieve the skills.

The authors credit the historic contributions of predecessors instead of the status quo knee-jerk dismissal of everything that preceded the current environment. The text is clearly written and the content is informative.
